You did it! Awesome! We walked 11 miles one day and some of our kids and volunteers complained that they were tired. I reminded them that you were walking 11 miles every day, suddenly no one was tired anymore, You are such an inspiration!
I see you are already planning next year for Habitat. Another charity dear to my heart. I definetly will support your efforts next year as well. Let me know if you need help planning.

That is quite an accomplishment and you should be very proud of what you have done, and more importantly of the reasons you have done it. I wish I could have joined you, but an injury prevented that. But, my wife and son (Kelly & Dylan) have been able to be with you for a lot of your trip and they have done nothing but rave about you and your wonderful family. I hope this world never allows you to become disillusioned and that you keep up with such great efforts to help the downtrodden. Among the very small group of people who I call my heroes are Gandhi, Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King. They are my heroes for many reasons, but mostly because they devoted their lives (and ultimately gave their lives) to the cause of helping the less fortunate. You are on your way to joining that select group as I already consider you a hero. If the old adage is true that you can judge somebody by the company they keep, I am tremendously proud of my son just because you consider him a friend.

Little dude.... Man you are so far beyond your years. I would vote you President of the USA if they took little peeps your age (we all know you would be the best choice thus far). In any case, PLEASE let me know when you will be arriving in Live Oak. If the timing is good, I have some pull at the radio station (WLVO 106.1) and I'm sure he would love to put you on the air for a bit. Let me know will ya! Keep those feet moving. Show the world what your message. Make these people realize there are MAJOR problems in this country and it's not all about wars and politics. But the KIDS! We adults are supposed to watch out for and protect the kids. Prepare them for adulthood. NOT throw them on the streets. I'm contacting EVERYONE I know about you and your cause. I hope what I do can help at least a tiny bit. Keep up the great work.

I still talk about you everyday. This month has been hard with all of the events we have planned and now that it is cold our kids are even more in need of help. We love them and would do anything for them, even if it is exausting. Tonight is our Candlelight Vigil and Saturday we will walk 11 miles.

Hi Zach and family!
Dylan and I had the most amazing day today with you guys. (Except for the unfortunate experience of having my car towed by the idiots at the Ranch Motel in Orange Lake (while I was helping with transportation issues on Zach's walk,as you already know). ANyway, a word of strong warning to anyone else who might be walking with Zach and need to park their car along the way: DON'T park in the parking lot of any building or place of business, whether it is obviously in business or not, at least without first getting an OK to park there. Park by the side of the road if necessary as that won't get you towed!
Other than that unpleasant experience, the walk was wonderful and Dylan and I both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We look forward to walking again tomorrow morning, before the Study Island bowling kick off in Gainesville (where Zach will attend before heading to the University of Florida for a 4 pm speech, meal and walk with the college kids.
Thank you to Zach and your whole family for the kindness you bestowed on us today, considering the hardships associated with having the car towed. You are all awesome, incredible people and you are doing a fantastic job!!!! Godspeed to all of you on your journey!

My mom and I hope to walk with you tomorrow, at least part of the day. We do have a situation at home that requires not being gone for long stretches of time, so we may walk some, then run home, then come back and walk some more. I'd like to bring my guitar to entertain you guys while we walk, if that's ok with you.
Where will you be starting off from in the morning and what time? if we don't hook up with you first thing, we will be along and find you as soon as we can ( I know you'll be walking down 441 toward Micanopy from Reddick, right?)
Looking forward to meeting you both! Also, on Tuesday, you are walking to Gainesville and there is a study island kick-off bowling date planned there from 12-2... have you thought of taking a couple hours break to stop by there? I'm sure the kids would all love to see you!
